With this painting, I wanted to represent the negative thoughts that sometimes overwhelm me—the feeling of not being able to move or eat because of constant rumination. In this painting, the man holds the apple without being able to eat it. Despite the figure showing this burden, I enjoyed the process of creating this artwork so much that I completely forgot about the negative feelings I wanted to convey. As a result, the painting does not evoke feelings of despair but rather the tranquility and serenity I feel when painting.
